SwiftKit News
Finally it's arrived, the update we've been promising you for months now. This update brings a multitude of fixes and features to the existing IRC Client. Some of these include nickname highlights, logging, clickable URL's, properly working themes, auto identify and channel or PM now flash. That's only a few of the changes and additions, not to mention a whole bunch of bug fixes that were causing crashes.
So please, if the IRC Client was holding you(or a friend) back from using SwiftKit we urge you to give it a go again. With the latest update the IRC Client in SwiftSwitch is of no comparison to the updated one in SwiftKit.
IRC Client Changes and Fixes:
* Textview no longer tries to access lines when it has none on MoveMove event
* Status is no longer logged when logging is disabled
* URLs split over multiple lines now work properly
* If a theme is missing an event colour entry, a default value is used (caused highlight colour to be set to white)
* Default browser should now be properly detected and launched
* Added ctcp command and ctcp nicklist options
* Nicklist items without icons now have a 5 pixel buffer on the left
* Queries now track nickname changes correctly
* Scrolling the textview large distances with the mousewheel no longer causes an error
* Adding a highlight and then reopening the options dialog no longer causes an error
* Pasting one line of text no longer automatically sends to IRC.
* Pasting 5 or more lines of text will now result in a confirmation prompt
* Pressing the down arrow while focused on a textbox will now always clear the text (when at the end of input history)
* Sessions will now be destroyed correctly when closed (caused a crash when closing the hosting application)
* Added auto rejoin on kick option (2 second delay).
* The nickname highlight will now beep when triggered
* Added hop command
* Fixed nasty bug in textview
* Added /clear and /clearall commands
* Channel list is now cleared before listing again
* Channel list will remain closed if closed while listing
* Reduced total switchbar height by 6 pixels
* Tabstrip tabs now have a border the same colour as frames
* Start page background now uses frame background colour
* Command buttons now only respond to clicks from the left mouse button
* Added logging feature
* URLs (web addresses) are now clickable
* Highlights now work

I wanted to know how to kick an op because i keep gettin kicked in my own cc
i get disconnected after few min in irc but internet is still connected how do i fixed it??
is there a way to move the bottom toolbar to say, the left side, because i have a small computer screen and when i open the toolbar the bottom of runescape is cut off.
when i connect to irc, my internet disconnects, How do i fix this?
can we have the same scripts as mirc please.

There is an auto -f (removes Censor)
Start > options > tab on top that says "IRC" uncheck the "enable message filtering" box .
Be sure to read your tips file before posting. There are a lot of helpful hints there that may answer a question or resolve a problem
The only bad thing still is the cencor but other than that great!
We know this and it will be fixed in a few days.
can no longer click on links in irc - anyone any tips?
Just a couple more problems and suggestions
..:: The scroll conflict between Chat and the media player is not completely fixed.
..:: Also the medis player is playing random songs when shuffle is not selected.
..:: Please Add a Perform Like SwiftSwitch had.
..:: Please Add a Server List for differant SwiftIRC servers
..:: Make the Irc Start button Smaller, this takes up too much room, expecially for users that are in more then a couple channels. .:Suggestion; Make it more like SS IRC, where there was no start tab, you clicked Irc chat, then Connect, and chat loaded "over" it.
..:: Add Irc "Options" to the File > Options Dropdown menu up in the toolbar
..:: Add "New Server Window" to the File > Options Dropdown menu up in the toolbar

(I apologise for posting bugs and suggestions here i know that this isnt the proper place, but as to this computers limitation this is the only acessable place that i can provide feedback.
SS and SK are both 100% legal clients and they follow guidelines set by jagex.
I love the help but have been told Jagex is banning again for use of SS or SK.
Nicely done, Now if only there was a Perform on startup option, and a server list.

1. I believe that bug has already be fixed
2. SK is only meant to support .m3u and .pls
3. That's working as intended
Again great with the patch updates, so prompt, available quite quickly. still a few bugs.
..:: When media player and chat are both open and contain scroll bars, using the mouse scroll will make both boxes scroll.
..:: When adding a playlist you cannot chose wmp file WMP (windows media playlist)
..:: When adding Media song(s) It will not allow you to drag and drop from a media player although the drag and drop add+ icon still appears. (his is just a faster way to add music in my opinion as I have a few playlists in WMP)
Again, Great updates, just thought ide give you something to do since your running out of things to fix it seens. :P :smiles: keep op the awesome work
wow-This is the PERFECT runescape tool! i was first scepticle, and thought there might be trojans/bugs, but now, i trust the team. keep up the great work!

Airyline, the slap and huggle actions will be added again, but the amsg command will not. There are far too many people already that abuse the command.
Random H, your comment would be a lot more helpful if you explained the missing key features to us. ;)
Personally I've used mIRC since I found out what it was, years ago. But when you guys brought out SK I had a look in the IRC to see if I could be tempted to use it. It's definitely an impovement over the first release, but it still has many key features missing.
If you look at the chat options you would find the "enable message filtering" box. Unselect it and restart SK.
need a option for the -f mode, other wise you have to do /mode <nick> -f everytime thanks.
I still know a lot of people who prefer swift switch after this update even.. and A LOT seriously.

I don't like the new size of the IRC... this recent update made it stretch for the length of the whole screen? Now I have to click way at the bottom to type, and there is no way to resize it to the previous size while keeping it at the top of the screen...

Looks great but we NEED, AUTO -F badly. Im not liking having to turn it off everytime i go into a channel :(.
Wonderful update, although i do like the old swiftswitch chat a little better.
.: as a scripter and an avid IRC & mIRC user i would like to suggest a few things:.
..:: Make the "start" button to the left smaller or a popup button. (many times im in many channels and this serves no purpose to me other then annoying me and taking up room.)
..:: Add a perform on connect option. (this serves many purposes to me and many others that im close to in irc)
..:: On most screen resolutions the "text box" is covered, or to close to the start bar. (I move my start bar and have it on autohide, but its quite annoying as well.)
..:: Incorperate a copy colors like mirc has (when you drag highlight a line or lines and hit <ctrl>+C it copies colors, bolds underlines etc.)
.:: fix the channelname bug... channel names now appear most of the time with a box at the end when in the textfield. Ie. #NightOwl
..:: And lastly, a server menu (so people can find a server nearest them.)
Im not trying to criticise or degrade. Im just giving suggestions that many people can benefit from. I like the new SK IRC but as we all know "theres always room for improvement"

Harley, the IRC comes with SwiftKit. Click the Show Internal Utilities button under the stats lookup and then click the yellow Pac-Man face to go to the IRC client interface. To learn more about IRC, do a Google search on SwiftIRC Wiki and go to the first result, or visit the #irchelp channel.

when i begin to play no more then 15 min i get sk error why :S
Lols this is just an uptade you swiftkit will automacilly isntall new uptaders if they are any so dont worry
